Some dialup services have time limits, especially if you are using a free service. Call your ISP.

I was facing same problem with BSNL, they promised heaven before registering and later no response. Even you get it rectified, you have to pay Coffee fee and tips.

Being disgusted, I went to AIRTEL Broad band, there are 2 packages 1. 299 package ( 450 MB down load) 2. plan 699 - unlimited. Rates are 299.00 & 699.00 plus taxes. Including tax I am paying Rs 785.00 per month. Unbelievable service, very fast Initially (on the day of installation ) you have make spot payment of Rs. 333.00, this will be adjusted in your very next bill. More over with in 4 hours of complaining they have to attend, if they fail, they credit Rs.100.00 to your account. Visit : www.airtelworld.com

We have that here in the USA. My first ISP was dial up and if I was idle for 20 minutes they would disconnect me from being online.

I bet that is happening to you.

I believe there is an option that can be found in the properties setup of your connection with a checkmark that states "always re-connect when this connection is lost", you might have that unchecked.

Do you have your preferences set ok you might be telling your internet to shut dowm after so many minutes of no action.

Call the ISP. I don't think the problem is on your end. They may be bumping you. But they should be able to help you sort it out.

maybe you should tell your dial up agency about it. or else if it seems to be slowing down you should also check for viruses
