How does the ideal business card look like. What are some mistakes you've seen done in this area?

Stick to the standard size and make sure the layout is seen right to left and not positioned up and down. The mistake people make is trying to get overly creative and that doesn't work well. You want to get a certain image across but you don't want to get too flamboyant. A black and white card is perfectly acceptable for business start up. Then you can branch out to fancy with full color and logos and such. The point of a business card is to give your name, company and contact information. They will not be framed or given as gifts so keep it simple.

"Do Not" use too small of print any where on the card

Use quality card stock,not cheapo. People notice.

always include an e-mail address/web site address

Make sure you spell everything correctly.
