I have heard from some TV channels and some pro-gaming reviewers that there would be no difference in the quality of graphics if you own an XBOX 360 or a PS2 & don't have(own) an HDTV.

This means that according to them, if we don't own an HDTV, then buying the expensive XBOX 360 would be same as buying a PS2 if i have a normal tube TV.

I personally own a 21-inch TV and it's not an HDTV.

I just wanted to know that would there be any difference in the quality of graphics if i own an XBOX 360 or a PS2 in my NORMAL TV and NOT HDTV?????

Will there be no difference in graphics in a normal TV if i own any of the two, PS2 or XBOX 360???

If there would be no difference in the quality of graphics, which of the two consoles should i buy???????

PS: Give a descriptive answer and explain it to me......

NO WAY. Probably what you read were articles of people that write thir oppinions, but.. who writes it? anyway.. the FACTS are the facts. the graphics of the consoles are defined by their bits, and the XBox 360 has a better resolution because is a higher techonology, so it supports more bits than the PS2 (its logical, the PS2 is an older technology).
I have played both consoles, and i tell u... the XBox 360 has muuuuch better graphics !!! PS2 is an awsome console, but even in the biggest, or smallest TVs, you should see the difference. I played both of them in different TVs (friends' houses, my house's, in public games presentations... etc). PS2 is an awsome console... but nothing to do with the XBox... of course, everything changes if we talk about PS3.... that one, you would have to play it to understand its incredible graphics.
XBox 360 has a definition graphics very hard to reach.. you have to play it in big a screen to really see how far it gets, and of course, to enjoy it ;)
still, i look at the consoles' ghraphics... but i think the cataloge is more important ;) both 360 and PS2 have grat games, and great graphics... but if u look for the best quality among the teo of them, then you look for XBox 360. If you look for the best catalog... that will depend on your player's taste ;)
Enjoy !!

Okay, first of all, the Playstation 2 does not have the same graphics as a Xbox 360. If you are getting a new game system, get the Playstation 2, as it is one of the greatest systems of all time. I own a 360, and I prefer RPGs, which they have a lot on the PS2. That's why I like the PS2 more.

I'm pretty sure the graphics will be better with the new generation, having HDTV helps, but not nessecery.

But I don't know about the new generation of consoles. Xbox has been having a high rate of consoles self destructing and the PS3 can't even get enough made or shipped to consumers. And the one's they do get out they're taking a bath on(900 to produce, retail at 600).

Personally, I wonder if what happened to gaming in the 80's is about to happen again. With no real new technology or games to increase the experience, people will just get bored and do something else.

Where are you people getting your info from?

The xbox360 has superior graphical cpabilities, no matter what tv you use it will have better graphics over a playstation 2.

Between the 360 and a PS2, I recommend getting the 360, as the PS2 has about 6 months life left.
