In the current episode of LOST, Ben told John, he knows everything about him. How can he know everything about the people from the crash?

I'm guessing that's pretty much what it's like in the Lost writers' room on a daily basis.

I just watched Wednesday's episode last night and the ending was super messed up. I had the same question you had and have to agree with the girl on here that the "Ben storyline" is showing us how the characters lives are intertwined (sort of). I'm kind of wondering if they are going in the direction that Ben is "God" or something, I used to have a lot of theories but I'm officially out of ideas. I feel bad for Locke but I cannot even believe he screwed Jack like that by blowing up the submarine, what an ****** (yes I know Ben said no one would ever find the Island after leaving but still that was a dick thing for Locke to do). So I'm completly stumped and I think it's kind of stupid that Locke's so called "father" was tied up in the room, I mean it lead me to a pretty loud "holy sh*t" but still haven't you noticed no one ever even seemed to question on the show "why haven't Michael and Walt sent for us"? alright, I'm just going to stop here. I hope the writers get it together soon (though I'll never stop watching). I bet the show is a social experiement on the viewers. lol

God, I hate when I have to go back and correct myself. I hate the whole Others storyline, but the more I think about it, the more it's finally starting to make sense. One thing that has been constant is how these people's lives have interconnected even though they didn't know it. Big question has always been to me is how all these "connected" people wound up on the same plane and then the same island. Well, as much as I hate to admit it, the Ben storyline is starting to connect the dots - of course he knows everything about Locke - he knows everything about everyone that came down in that plane. Somehow, either the Others or the Dharma Group (and I'm still not sure they're not one and the same) made the plane come down; somehow they manipulated all those people onto that plane (not such a big stretch if you watch soap operas), and this whole thing is a big experiment to observe the effects of extreme stress on ordinary people. I know there's more to it than this, but God help me - I'm starting to understand. How weird is that?

I don't mean to be rude but have you watched every episode of Lost? It's not confusing if you are dedicated, it's a show that will leave you clueless if you don't watch every episode and really pay attention to it. It would be too difficult to explain it to you but I guarantee you if you go buy the previous season and catch up everything will be explained to you. Let me add though their are some questions that are still left unanswered because I think it involves something in the future, I believe the writers know what they are doing...it's a suspense drama. Tell me what show does not leave you with questions after that episode is aired?

The sub. It's an island secret. IF the box exists, then that probably has something to do with it too.
They went and got people in the sub. So as long as they could get back to the island they could leave it. Now that the comm sys is messed up, their stuck (or are they?).

(My TV is going out, so I don't get to SEE much of Lost, but I hear everything. So I didn't see what was going on when they were talking about the existance of a magical box.)

That show gives me a headache sometimes. We discovered how John ended up in the wheelchair. But the price of that answer was a bum-load of more questions. If you really wanna engage in some self-punishment, go to www.lost-tv.com and see the forums. Back when I absolutely could not miss a single episode, I use to go to that website, read the spoilers and hear explanations/speculations.
