Jake Ryan
Played by Cody Linley - The star of the television show Zombie High, who begins to attend Seaview Middle School. He is Miley's hardest crush and she can't stop thinking about him. His signature line is: "Dude, I slayed you once! Don't make me slay you again." Jake eventually admits to Miley that he gets sick of all the attention, and sometimes wants to turn the whole movie star thing off and be a regular kid. When he does, Miley realizes her feelings for him. Lilly is obsessed with him, and so are all the other girls in school. In the episode People Who Use People, Jake tries to make Miley jealous by using a co-star from one of the movies he was shooting, Holly. Jake finally admits that he likes Miley after pretending not to for part of More Than a Zombie to Me and all of Good Golly, Miss Dolly and People Who Use People. Miley admits it as well, after denying it many times. In the end, Jake kisses her at the beach and after this, Jake and Miley become a couple, but then he has to go off to Romania to shoot a movie, for 4 months. Emily Osment (Lilly Truscott) said in a recent interview on the M magazine official website that Jake Ryan may come back in the second season to be Miley's boyfriend. Miley Cyrus confirmed on The New York Times interview that Jake Ryan will be returning.
