NO!!! Honey caries bacteria from the bees that is not good for the baby at all. No baby's should have any honey until there at least two years old. Another thing is that you child is way to young to have anything but breast milk or formula her little digestive system can't handle it. The child could have or develop food allergies if introduced too soon. As for her cold, I'm sorry to hear about that. there isn't a whole lot of things out there that you can use to help with that. you will need to ask her doctor what they think is best. Brest milk can help baby's stay well and get better faster because of the natural defense the mother makes for the baby. I certainly noticed a change with my kids when i stopped breast feeding them. they would get sick more often and for longer periods of time.

Good luck. Its not easy being a parent.

No, honey can be toxic for a child under 1 year of age and the lemon is an absolute no no because it has citric acid which can damage the lining of her stomach which is not developed. Consult with your Dr. before doing this, get a vaporizor to ease her nasal congestion but no meds for a baby that young... look out... most babies get 2-12 colds per season but as she gets older you and she will cope better with them.. Hope that helps

NOOOOOOOO. Children should NEVER consume honey until they are at least a year old, but honestly it's truly best to wait until they are at least 2 years old.

Infant botulism is caused by consuming the spores of the botulinum bacteria, which then grow in the intestines and release toxin.

The normal process for pasteurization of honey doesn’t kill any bacterial spores present and could be a potential hazard for infant botulism. Botulism is a rare but serious paralytic illness caused by a nerve toxin that is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

Here is some information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on botulism: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dbmd/diseaseinfo/botulism_g.htm

I say no to both lemon and honey - honey due to everything others have said.

Best thing for a cold is increasing b/feeding to keep fluids up and perhaps a vaporiser to keep the air moist.

Hope bubs feels better soon :)

Im not sure where you are from, but in Australia we have baby panadol, which you can use from 1 month of age...Panadol is paracetamol, but its especially formulated for babies that young, you can also purchase aspirators and nasal drops...the nasal drops are just a saline solution, not any form of medication, you put a couple of drops into her nostril leave it for a few seconds and then gently aspirate the mucus away, repeat with the second nostril, because its not medicated and it is just water it wont hurt her...
The first port of call should be with your doctor, get her fully checked out and see what they suggest.
Hope this helps

NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

NO chid under a year old can have honey or nut products because of allergies, and honey contains a bacteria that is toxic to infants because they lack the immunity to process it.

Honey can contain bacteria that may harm your child. It's not a good idea. Many honey containers have warnings on them that say this.

No.
The ONLY things a 1.5 mos old should have are breastmilk and formula. It is all their little system is prepared to handle.

HONEY IS DANGEROUS FOR BABIES. Honey should not be given under 12 mos. It can cause botulism which can KILL your child. NO HONEY!!!!!
