Neither...I would actually have to say Cristiano Ronaldo hammering the final nail to the coffin, which was his shot during the penalty shootout against England...Talk about deflating an ego...as a matter of fact, an entire nation's ego...no wonder the Brits couldn't get over it...They're so used to dominating any situation...For God's sake, there are STILL rival fans out there who boo their brains out at him!

I being an Italy fan, I think the way Italian squad went through the world cup is a major highlight. Zidane did headbutt, but still, it does not reflect he great talent he is and his being the best French player of all times...
You might remember the Calcio scandal during the World Cup and The ex-Juve player(Do not remember who he is) committed suicide and found himself, eventually, in bed watching a dream come true for those italians who would never believe their country would become World Champions!
During such a scandal, the whole team, alongside their manager, intelligent Lippi, had their mind set for the road to their glory.I think such a situation needs to be applauded as none of the players, fortunately, had nothing to do with the scandal and lead to a total disorder in the league and a result we are all winessing now....
For me Zidane's headbutt made news headlines, but the Italian road to World Cup glory will be unforgettable(but it looks so identical to that of 1982!!)

Italy winning the world cup is one because no one expected them to even reach the world cup .and pass the qualification
Zidane's performance leading France to the final is one and the headbutt will be remembered negatively ..how the world cup was ended
all of them
some of the weird results which will be remembered:
France 1-0 Brazil
Italy 2-0 Germany
Argentina 6-1 Serbia
Saudi Arabia 2-2 Tunis
Netherland 0-1 Portugal ( NIGHT CARD)
England vs Porugal 3-5 pen( Ricardo night)

I would say Zidane's crazy headbutt when he could have gone out in glory. I didn't even remember who won, just that a well-respected player rather did himself in, career-wise. People will not remember all of Zidane's good years--just that stupid headbutt.

Zidane, Zidane, Zidane. The guy won MVP in the last few games before he retired. He showed that he is STILL good... THAT good, actually...
He walked away from the game when he could still be considered one of the best in the world to be with his family which shows some real class...
Not showing so much class was the headbutt, which definitely made the most news, and put a blemish on an otherwise perfect ending to a career... Would have been nice to see him win MVP AND hoist the Cup in his last game...
