The bone just happens to have the Latin name of "humerus", which doesn't mean funny in Latin but does sound exactly like it should be "humorous". Nicknamed the funny bone for that reason.

Because it is the Radial nerve that goes all funny not our sense of humour. It is all the humerous bones fault!!
