Is it stupid for people to buy Desginer items?

My mom had just brought a prada hangbag worth $5500..... now is that stupid or does it just make people feel special?...because i do not get it

I guess if you have the money to buy the items there is nothing wrong with it. I have designerwear that I bought because I liked the items. I don't buy for brand but how it looks and how it will last. Sometimes it Gucci or Michael Kors, some times its from JcPennys.

if u have extra money then u should fulfil your dreams
