Maybe. You would need a device that can play the format you use.
A computer connected to the TV could handle practically anything.
A lot of DVD players can handle VCD format (although the quality isn't very high).
Some DVD players can read DivX files straight off a CD.

I think you can and it play on the computer, but, I not think it play in your DVD for the TV. One a CD only hold 700 MB and it may not have the picture quality. What you can try, as a CD about 50 cents, Burn the movie and hope the CD hold it all. Then run a cable from your Video output to the TV and see if you can play it in the CD Drive and it show on TV. IF, you have a DVD Player then you can try there next if the CD Drive not play. I would try the Drive I Burn with first.

yes you can burn a movie to a cdr. the only problem is that the movie won't fit on one disk. i used a program a couple years ago to do this called movie dubb. i had to download the movie, then go in the middle of it(they recommended a spot where the movie went to a black out for the next scene) and cut it into 2 segments. save each and then copy the segment to 2 disks. i believe that was when fast and furious came out. it worked fine. just look and see if the program is still out there. i don't know if it is. this is all you need to do this. a program to cut the movie into 2 segments to fit each disk..

you prefer a DVD burner on your laptop to try this and a DVD that has sufficient room for the action picture. First get carry of the action picture of your decision (remember the place you saved it). next get a video converter and convert to MPEG4 (that's properly suited with DVD). Get your DVD and placed it in the CD force. Now bypass decrease back to the action picture record, it is going to say burn on the coolest. purely, click burn and there you bypass. desire i helped:)
