We've appealed. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions welcome. She was retired in 96, got SSI in 99, when she attempted to get the back they've decided she has to repay the $150,000. They say she isn't dissabled. It's unfair. I know she can't work. I'm trying to get this petition signed: http://www.petitiononline.com/525600sl/petition.html
My mother IS a dissabled Vet. It's horrid that the Gov't she's served for so long is doing this to her. She has Chronic Fat. Synd, numerous nuroligical problems, a bad back, and can barely do her dishes in a day. There are doctors, neurologists, and specialists backing her up. Please any suggestions, we're gonna talk to the news. If you want to help pls sign the petition, or offer suggestions. Thank You.

I agree with others. Get a lawyer. Usually you can find one that specializes in SSI claims and they don't get paid unless you win. I can't believe they are trying to make her pay back her past payments. I do know that while you're appealing, if you receive any kind of welfare help, you have to pay it back when you win. But I've never heard of anyone having to pay back past SSI payments. I would definitely get a lawyer and make a big deal about this!

Oh , but they can give it to Illegal Aliens huh? Get a lawyer, take the case back to court. Make sure you have it put on national news! Write to Bill O'reilly and Lou Dobbs. Name names! Post it on news blogs and put it on the ripoff report.com., but don't place too much information on there...Good luck...
