I was wondering if there were any x-ray technicians that had any advice.

Is it a good career?
Are there many job opportunities?
What is the payscale like?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

It sounds good and I'm sure the money is nice, but I knew a girl who got a degree in that and she had to travel out of town in order to find work. Unless you live in a super big city (We're in Austin and there's almost a million people here), or a city where there are new hosiptals being built, you are probably going to have to move or travel quite a bit for work. People in those fields settle in their jobs and don't move, so there is going to be substantial competition.
