If you are looking for a nile cruise try myegypt.co.uk 5* 45$ pn pp but as one on here put it you live in cairo and should know that as such you can get them cheaper than that, because we have overheads we have to put our price on. same as the air fare to and from luxor why fly, you can get the sleeper back for 50$ pp direct from aswan, my numbers are
on the website mobiles and office.

From about three years ago I went on a cruise from Aswan to Luxor, it was really great! What I have witnessed is that all of the 5 stars cruises are great and of course the view of the Nile River was fascinating. Don't worry it's easy to make a reservation for a cruise from Luxor to Aswan, or from Aswan to Luxor. As I mentioned that the 5 stars cruises are all wonderful.

Go to a travel agency called "See Egypt" located near Maadi.(Cairo) They have great people who helped us with our cruise from Aswan to Luxor. I recommend booking up river and not going down. The tours off the book will make your trip. Book on either the Oberoe or Sonasta boats as they are the best for hygene and services.

I did a Nile cruise about 8 years ago now, we did 4 days, three nights. Booked it all through Imaginative Traveller. Have posted a link below.
They were pretty good, fairly no-frills though, so depends on what you were looking for. The organised the whole trip, we also had a few days in Cairo to see pyramids, tombs etc.

i have been on two the first one was with kuoni and on the sun ray it was excellent but expensive, it is also i belive their flagship boat. the second was with cosmos and i cant rememeber the name of the boat, but as they are not using it any more its not important. While the second boat was also very nice it was not as good as the first but it was much cheaper both were supposed to be 5 star.I have heard that the oberoi philae is generally recognised as the best boat on the river, i have also been on the pioneer2 and it was lovely but the best advice i can give if you want a classic cruise on an ordinary boat (as opposed to a fellucca or dahabeya, 'Traditional sail boats') then go with a reputable travel agent and go for the best you can afford because some of the boats you see can be quite basic.

Me too!! It's a minefield trying to find something reasonably cheap but good quality too. Also be aware that if you're thinking of going in September like us, then it's Ramadan and things will be closing early (I'm advised around 2 - 3pm so you may be a little rushed through some sights. I don't know whether I will go this year because I can only go in Sept.
Good luck I'll watch your answers.
