Don't worry about it, there would have to be a gene somewhere in there to make that happen although there are chances of having a shorter child, based on the height of you and the baby's daddy. The baby having a Dwarf syndrome is the last thing you should be worried about though. At your age there can be alot of complications in pregnancy since your own body isn't done growing. Good luck and I hope that everything goes well for you.

There is so much more to worry about than dwarfism: you could miscarry, or the baby could have down syndrome, it could die of SIDS, or have a cleft pallet, it could develop MS or polio, maybe you have AIDS and don't know it and could pass that to the baby, or maybe possibly it could be born with out a brain only a stem, It could have no arms and legs, or even all of the above. So don't worry if it is a little person. Little people are perfectly normal people, and can always get a job in Hollywood doing bit pieces

You can worry about 10,000 things going wrong besides dwarfism. You don't have to obsess about everything that just happens to be on TV. What if the show was about giants, would you need to worry about the baby being gigantic?

Since you're so young just try to eat well, stay healthy, do what's right every day and pray for a healthy baby which is exactly what you'll have. Dwarfism is exceedingly rare, so rare that worrying about it is a total waste of time.

I don't think you need to worry about it because it sounds like it doesn't run in your family. I do know tho, that when I was pregnant, everything I saw on TV or the Internet became a fear of mine-- "what if my baby has THAT!" My husband had to finally ban me from the computer! LOL

I think it is normal for you to worry and that you just need to speak to your doctor and your family support system. Good luck and I know you will have a healthy baby! ;-)

A baby born to parents with dwarfism have a 25% chance of being dwarves. Babies born to parents who are not dwarves have a 1 in 10000 chance of being dwarves. Plus if you've seen the show you know it's nothing to worry about...they're people, too, and their lives are just fine. Don't worry about it.

Talk to your doctor. And even if your baby does have it, will it matter, you will still love your baby right? Just treat your baby while growing up like a normal child. You wont be able to protect them from everything but you can show your baby that no matter what they will always have you for comfort.

i don't think you have anything to worry about it's mostly genetic. FYI i love that show and i use it to show my kids that we're all the same, that size, colour, religion just don't matter.
