well did u know that a small stone falling from a height of 100 feet can cut a hole in ur skull........so vot do v infer.........if u have a ship travelling at 3*10^8 m/s then it would cut through any space debris it finds......there'll be a head on collision(or even a sideway collision)which will cause the debris to shoot off......(provided it isnt too large..if it is then v vud shoot off).so dude it does not work dat way.......but do try to make such a vessel....n do not forget to invite me....bye

Assuming that you could steer, you could see the big things coming. It takes 8 minutes for light to travel from the sun to Earth, so you could imagine being able to dodge Mercury and Venue along the way.
To give you an example, the Voyager space craft that left the Solar System recently are expected to last longer than life on Earth. There is so little stuff between here and where they are going that they may never wear out.
Voyager 1 travels at about 1 million miles per day. That's 66,750km/h or 1854m/s or about 0.6% of the speed of light.
Travelling at C would be a lot more dangerous than at 0.006 C, but you would probably get a long way before you hit something.

It depends on how it would be done. For instance there is thought that space can be folded like a paper. The vehical would go through a hole it made and appear somewhere else. It could still be dangerous since space debry could wind up in any part of the craft (nothing like being part of a 1 mile long astroid).
Even if the craft can withstand the blow with a force field, the ship could bounce slightly off course like a bumper car. You could wind up anywhere.

Technically yes but by the time we get to travel that fast in a space ship we will have a ship made of something that can withstand that impact.
Scientist came up with a compound in 2005 that could cut diamonds effortlessly but not neatly neatly so if a compound was that hard it should be good for space travel at light speed

I think if a vessel could reach light speed it would collapse into itself and disappear .The atoms and molecules would start to fuse together and the ship would get smaller until there was just a tiny object left. which would eventually explode. of course this is my opinion only i have no scientific knowledge to back this up .only my thoughts of what could happen.

We would be so close to being at time travel speeds that a particle we hit would not affect us because it would be in the past !!
