Well, "Madame Bovary" (Gustav Flaubert) first came to mind.
"Tess of the D'Urbervilles" by Thomas Hardy is another although rather long.
"Mansfield Park" by Jane Austen - surprisingly enough.

I hope this helps. There are, of course, Mills & Boons, Harlequin, etc., however since you wrote "good novels" I guessed that you're not interested! lol
