As I've just answered Hillary Clinton's question, I think it's too late.
Global warming (or if you prefer, climate change), looks like it's here to stay for one basic overiding reason.
The economic expansion and the industrial revolution of the past century also has a dirty side to it, highly polluting, and harmful to the environment.
Should all engines be stopped tomorrow, and industry come to a grinding halt, maybe earth could correct itself and get back in order.
I'm not sure. Like I said, it could be a slow process of getting warmer ever so slighlty until we will one day notice that there isn't much land available to live on and the severe weather patterns will cause economic ruin.
It may take a long time, maybe a few centuries...but the last several decades of capitalistic growth is going to be the reason behind our having to adapt to a changing world environment.

i really dont think there is a cure or prevention. all that we can do is to reduce it's warming by just a fraction of a fraction. today, we are more greener than 100 years ago. we release lesser harmful gases nowadays than 100 years ago. but the thing is, global warming is still there even if we release lesser than it was before. there are concepts in slwing down global warming. like the alternative use of hydrogen in exchange for oil, or even electricity to power our means of transportation. but that's just the way it is, it just slows down the process. it cant be stop. plus, a sudden change in technology is not cheap at all.

Not until people start becoming more serious and stop pollution by using less chemicals in factories and throwing trash on the floor when there is a trash bin. It will take a very long time, most probably humankind will never discover a cure because they are to stubborn.

Global warming is caused by a solar cycle. It cannot be stopped. It has happened before, we are along for the ride.

Global warming is a liberal myth which distracts us from our real problems.
We have a real enemy who wants to destroy us, and we worry about a natural phenomenon that melted the ice age?
Al Gore needs to be committed to an instutition.

sadly, NO. Developed countries are doing very little to curb global warming and developing countries are starting to pollute more and more as they become fairly industrialized. In addition, poor countries will not want to spend extra to produce cleanly... so that just adds to problems. I think it's a huge problem and there's nothing we can do about it. Sucks doesn't it?

Humans have little, if any, effect on the climate. If you don't believe that ask yourself why all previous ice ages have retreated.
