Does anyone know of something my wife can take to dry up her breast milk quickly? She's weaned our new baby already, and wants her boobs to get the message.

This sounds really weird, but cabbage leaves. For some reason, they helps draw out the milk and since they are cold, they help with any tenderness as well.

Unfortunately there's not a lot which can help with this, just living with the full breasts as much as possible and pumping to relieve the pressure when it gets too much. Minimal milk expression for a few days will get them to go down pretty quickly.
She can try going on hormonal birth control (e.g. the pill) but that might not speed up the process much more than just waiting it out.

i second the cabbage leaves and the pill.. the pill will take longer though. and cut out all oatmeal (if any) from her diet oatmeal produces milk.
