I live on a military base overseas and they're finally playing the FIRST HALF of the season while the rest of you get to watch the other half... don't you DARE tell me what's going on... I'm only up to the part where Jack is doing back surgery on that crazy dude. So then I found out (thanks kinder, gentler) that you can watch episodes you missed on abc.com - so I clicked on it and it said it could only be watched by persons in the U.S. - WHY?!

Just as ABC makes money off reruns, it makes money from selling shows overseas.
ABC probably has an exclusive contract with a foreign company to show episodes in certain countries. That's just my best guess.
