I am in the UK & I have made friends in Canada, USA, Jamaica, & India up to now. There are a lot of nice genuine people out there, but there are also idiots so just be careful, invite people to chat on IM and then if they turn out to be an idiot just block them.

the best way to do it is set up a "360" page (free) in yahoo answers , then make it avaliable for others to go to (just ticking the right boxes) then ask or answer some questions , if people like them they can go to your 360 and leave messages and you to them !!!! instant messenger is also a good way
