About a week, I think. As I game on the same PC that I host my various servers, I need to restart periodically to increase the performance.

I also believe it is only a myth, that leaving your PC on increases the life time. Hard disks are rated in hours of use, not in days of idleness. I have an old 486SX, the HDD in that lasted about 10 years, IIRC. The PC was not left on often, and practically unused the last few years.

Thank you, Signed,
Jerrad (Spark) Johnson.

Roughly 2 years 9 months
You really dont need to. barring all the crazy windows updates. The work fine leaving them on. In fact, if they work well, leaving thme on is the best thing ou can do for them
Hard discs fail less when they are left on

bout 8 days.

was laid up from meningitis and the spinal tap. had a glass computer desk at the time so my friends flipped the monitor to face down and I laid under it with pillows, remote and keyboard on my lap. that week is actually what taught me to type well, for I could not see the keyboard on my lap and was forced to learn the key locations, all of them.

you shouldn't leave it on any time past what you use it. the rumor of "its best to leave it on" is just that, a rumor. been on this box since the Commodore Vic 20 in like 1983 and I do programming today. Not wise to leave it on, quick way to burn your processor up. Not to mention shorten its life for all electronical items have a life of hours of use.
