I WOULD buy a more fuel efficeint car, but I can't afford THOSE cars. So I guess I'll just pay $6 for a lightbulb.

Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,

At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.

SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes

reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

the protection of existing forrests.

stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks

,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour

alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

recicling wastes,limit water use

We can all do our bit my recycling and making an effort to walk more/use a bike rather than transport, or at least use public transport rather than a car. 4 by 4's/SUVs are known gas/petrol guzzlers so best not to buy. But having said that: Solar Flares contribute to the Greenhouse Effect but there is nothing we can do about them, plus there are other natural contributors!

I would be happy if our government totally banned private transport. Keep the Public transport, and the business side of it though.
Seriously!
I often have this debate with my husband!
I often think of what my life would be like without electricity, and i probably would not mind if we lost some ..but not all of the things we use now. For example, i would be happy to live without lights the computer, the TV and DVD player etc Even all my kitchen gadgets. I am pretty fond of my Hot water system, my stove and my washing machine though!! And i would find that hard. But yes i would support my government if it banned all the things i mentioned.
I do all i can for our environment.

Canada is trying to get rid of emissions and gasses from the atmosphere. So far they have been doing somewhat of a bad job - GET RID OF STEPHEN HARPER and GEORGE W BUSH if you are about the environment.....

I have been working with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to help perserve the environment and crown lands of Ontario and Provincial/National Parks... We have looked at the "Waterpower" project (my friend Paul Norris is the president of the Waterpower Association). We have came up with lots of different ideas. So far we are helping to kill off Coal plants and different Hydro/Power generation stations who gives off soo much pollution but so far so good. We are trying hard here in Ontario.

go to http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/ to learn more about Ontario's environment

I am going to College for Ministry of Natural Resouces Law Enforcement for Park Warden, Ministry of Environment person or Conservation Officer.

i dont believe in global warming, but we could put solar panels on the tops of EVERY walmart and that would take care of the usa and any other country with walmart's emmisions, as they would be the energy source, we could use ethenol as a fuel source, drive less, plant trees etc.

close down Al Gore's house and ask his pilot to stop flying him all over the world, but seriously I like the idea of planting more trees and looking for new fuels

If I were Al Gore's pilot, I'd refuse to fly him to the next several speaking engagements.

If he fired me for this, I'd leak it to the press.

If I were George Bush, I'd stop the construction of the Detention Camps.
