i need some advice to give my friend. she has been friends with another girl for almost 7 years. then, a new boy came to her school and the other girl was only friends with him for about 2 months and then he got expelled. every single person in my friend's class are moping and upset he's gone and are really ignoring her completely. he deserved to be expelled because he kept using bad language towards my friend but everyone is taking his side and are saying he diidn't deserve it. when i heard my friend's side of the story, i agree with her but what should she do? when something like this happens, it doesn't go away for a long time and she will remain upset for a long time because her best friend chose a boy he knew for only 2 months over a best riend she knew for 7 years. please give me some advice i can give her.

Crystal, My advice is to let your friend know things happen for a reason. The boy wouldn't have gotten expelled if there wasn't a problem. I don't know details but most of the time someone doesn't get expelled for just meaningless bad language. Plus, just cause the young man was expelled doesn't mean they still can't be friends, I mean they can email, go to the movies still hangout, just not at school. I don't get why everyone would be ingorning her since he got expelled UNLESS it has something to do with her. In that case, those people aren't worth her time anyways. My best advice I can give you is remind her that a friend for 7 years is more likely to be be there for her, and let her know its okay to remind her that she are there for her every once and a while.

Unfortunately this is a time issue, it will all blow over and eventually her friend will forgive her and things will get back to normal. After all, 7 years is a long time to just forget a friendship. Let your friend know that although it may feel like it, it is not the end of the world. See if you can find some other things that she can do at school during the lunch break etc while her friend is sorting her feelings out. There is always the library to get assignments done.....it may not sound like a fantastic option but she needs to give her friend time to take it all in and forgive her.

I suspect you are not getting the whole story from your friend or she is just telling you the part that makes her look like the injured party. I suggest if you are really concerned you talk to the girl she has been friends with for 7 years and ask her what the whole deal is. Don't argue with her and take your friend's side until you know the whole story.

If the other girl was such a good friend, she wouldn't have abandoned your friend. Just be nice to your friend and tell her to forget about the other girl. Even though the relationship was long it doesn't mean it was good. A good friend would have gotten upset that the boy was using bad language towards her friend.
When situations like this happen you realize who is a true friend and who is not.

Hmm thats tough. I am not sure the ages of everyone involved, but that wasnt fair of the friend to do. I am sorry they are in this situation. I would say make sure that everyone knows it wasnt her fault for his actions. And in time everyone should come around. Tell her to still be the best friend she can be and dont change.

hi.. you should tell your friend that she didn't do any thing wrong and what happened wasn't her fault... about that other girl that preferred a boy over her friendship... tell her that things like this happens, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes so they can face each others and become Friends again.. and also they shouldn't talk much about that boy not to upset your friend
good luck
