I was born an American and also am a citizen of Ireland. I am happy wherever I am in the world even though not all may be right with that specific country.
When I see injustice, I work for justice, when I see suffering, I work to eliminate it, when I see war, I work for peace and so forth. Still, I am happy regardless of what is going on because it is the state of happiness that allows us to conquer pain, suffering, illness, injustice, hate and all that is and can be wrong. Without it, we are doomed to suffer from that which can ail both ourselves and the world.

I love what my country has the potential to be. However, I've travelled all over the world, and could see myself adapting to many lifestyles. I am sooo disappointed in this country, the USA, however, because I feel as though a vast majority of us are so inexcusably ignorant. We can see this in whom we elected for president, not once, but twice. Our government was voted in by those who studied the election, not through political current events, but through bible studies. We're voting for the wrong reasons. If citizens had to take the same test that immigrants have to take, to get their citizenship, we would have a very small voting population. The comment about the three g's, makes me sick, that kind of slogan, is why I have little pride in the current state of my country.

No I am not happy living in America. Most of the women are not so feminine and they are so independent they want to be just like men. Most of all the worthwhile jobs are outsourced overseas. You can't even call tech support anymore without speaking some Gandi Rapsanjani dude from India. The food sucks and gives you heartburn. Service sucks such as at hotels and very hard to get room service at affordable hotels. All the smart shopping is done on the internet so business is dying out. It is hard to find social settings to meet people because everyone is off on a tangent with some religious fanatic ideas. American people tend to go home and lock their doors for safety. Criminals mutilate people, don't do much jail time and create law suits to sue the victims from inside jail while watching color tv. Politicians are whores paid by the highest corporate bidder to ream the American people and further take away what freedom we have left, As a result of the terror acts the government is creating world wide Americans are smart to say they are from Canada for fear foreign people will murder us for what our government has done. The legal system does not represent the people, it represents money and if cannot afford a lawyer you surely cannot afford to take time from your burger king job to defend your rights and liberties. Airline travel is terrorizing in itself and you are treated like a criminal before during and getting off the airplane. Minorities and all races hate each other and commit acts of hate crimes regularly. In big cities innocent tourists are gunned down in residential neighborhoods because they took a wrong turn and some barrio ghetto gangsters are defending "THEIR" homeland tuff.
I would move to Asia but not India. You can enjoy the same freedom in Thaialnd and more than you can in USA. In Thailand you can even buy books like Huckelberry Finn. In the USA it is banned , cencored because of something our great great grandfathers did against minorities and we are still paying for it today.

Australia is the best country in the world to live. I absolutely would not live anywhere else. My husband is from England, and would never return there.

I'm a red-blooded, God-fearing, Gun toting, American. And there's no place I'd rather be.
But if I HAD to go visit another country, the only one I would want to go to in the entire world, is Israel.
