For me it would be finally reaching Level 7 on YA...lol

Seriously, it would have to be that my children thought I did a good job raising them and hopefully imparted some wisdom whenever I am asked.
I would also like to be remember by a certain someone...just to be remembered as the best thing that ever happened to him....smile

To have effected a change for the better in someones life.To be remembered as a caring person and when thought of later, a smile comes to their face. To know they were loved by me and cared enough to try for them. That I left somehow and way a legacy behind.

Ozymandias, he is dead. Ultimately no one will be remembered for anything -- not Shakespeare, not Napoleon, not even Mozart, to mention some of the tiny fraction of people whose memories abide beyond two generations.

All you really can do is to try to be a good person now, knowing that you will not be remembered.

When a lady in a high position with whom I am not on close terms, in any sense, comes to me for my blessings on her B-day - a wonderful gesture that I treat as an achievement of life, not withstanding all my research in math, and administrative success. I will remember this and hope it will guide me to more such achievements - to be appreciated without any special effort, just doing my job.

For being a slave to whoever asks. I do everything for everybody when they ask. I'm a really nice person. Too nice to be exact. I actually hate it so I really hope I get remembered for it.

You can measure distance by time. "How far away is it?" "Oh about 20 minutes." But it doesn't work the other way. "When do you get off work?" "Around 3 miles."

I'll be remembered for spouting Seinfeld quotes :)
