Will power is the ability to choose the option which is best for you even though you desire the other option. For instance, you know that if you eat chocolate you face will break out with zits. You love chocolate, but you don't want to have zits so you refuse the chocolate. That is an example of will power. You just will yourself not to do it even though you want to.

Will power is the strength that a person has to overcome certain obstacles. For example a over weight person on a diet would have to have will power to not eat a chocolate cake sitting in front of them.

Let's say you have a project be it a school assignment or personal. What ever it is it doesn't come easy to you. Still you will yourself to take the steps necessary to accomplish it. Be it study, control your food intake, be more tolerable to things you can't stand..what ever the effort your putting to make sure it gets done you can call will power.
