Press start, and then log off. Choose the administrator account.

There is some software around on the internet to attempt to reset the administrator password (there is always a default administrator account). You might check into that. Besides that you might try booting into safe mode and then try to reset the administrator password.

You need to find out who is the administrator and get them to upgrade your account to administrator statis again. Either that or restore your computer and start over.

for windows xp, press F8 during boot up. do this before the windows logo comes up. go into safe mode. login as administrator, then give ur own account administrator rights.

Open your start menu, go to programs, choose systemtools, then go to system restore and restore the system to an earlier date. If the restore point is old you will lose some updates, but there are worse things in life. Just enjoy and don't let a piece of hardware get you down. :-)

If you have Windows XP go to control panel then click on user accounts. Under user accounts click on change an account. From there click on change my account type. You should see an option to change your user account from limited to system administrator.

I hope this helps.
Good luck

You have to reload the operating system. As per your details, there is no other way you can get the administrative rights back.
