I haven't heard of them, but most superstitions mean you will receive bad luck. Or:
"A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush." Means it is better not to get greedy and settle for the one you actually have instead of chasing after another one.
"It's six in one and half a dozen of the other." Meaning either way, you get the same.
"I'm going to take old men in to wash." You're broke

well i know the bird one means someones going to die oh and the rocking chair one means that your inviting bad spirits into the house...can't help you tho on that broom one. sorry

#1 and #3 are related to ghosts or impending deaths. #2 i don't know of but i would think it would be related to passing illness or other bad luck, because of the relationship of brooms/witches.

never heard of any of those. i know a black cat in your path, walking under a ladder, spilling salt, stepping on a crack in the sidewalk, breaking a mirror, and speaking ill of the dead.
