I'm in 11th grade in highschool and idk why i keep thinking about the past. I've always been a shy guy and when i went into the 8th grade things changed for the best. I started talking to more girls than ever and i just felt good about myself and how i came out of my shell. But now its just not the same anymore. I lost alot of things close to me and i have been moving on but just love thinking about how my life changed bacc then. Why do i keep thinking about this?

Feeling stuck on thoughts of the past usually means you have not truly felt closure or given it enough meaning in your lie. Each experience we have helps us make better decisions in the future. Some people get hung up on feelings and experiences in the past, especially really good or bad ones. They triggered the most emotion and are the easiest to remember. Try thinking of these things as lessons to teach you what to do or not to do the next time around. Don't get stuck on the re-occurring emotions from these memories. Many people will try to recreate the emotional high or low, much like a drug effect. This usually leads to people making the wrong decisions over and over again. Try to move on at your own pace and make new memories.

Everyone thinks about their past but don't repent over it. Just learn from the past mistakes n think of good happy moments in d past n concentrate on ur present n future, u'll be alright. It's perfectly normal!

It must have been because it was a good time in your life. It's natural to reflect back to happier days. We all do it. Just think about how pleasant your future can be?

Yea, welcome to my world, it's just your heart reminding you of what you thought was the best time you've had, but maybe it's just getting you ready for something wonderful about to happen. ;)
