What actually was David Thompsons vertical leap compared to Michael Jordans?

I don't know exactly what Jordan's reputed vertical leap was, I think Thompson's was over 40 inches.

My all-time favorite has to be Dr. J. Great leaping ability is great. Hang-time is greater. Dr. J performed magic in the air weaving the ball over and under outstretched arms, twisting his body in mid-flight, going behind the backboard and reverse-slamming - often doing all this during the same drive.
