it depends on your individual laptop's keyboard because they are different from one model to another. Most laptops will have a button that you push while holding the "Fn" key to toggle Num Lock. On my laptop it is F11.

Sarah: All keyboards have their own special design. Mine has the "NUM LOCK" button over on the right, at the TOP of the 'numbers keys'..it is in THAT group at the very top left. In other words, it is placed to the left of the NUMBER 1 key.
As an aside,...HOW did you place a real photo into your PROFILE? I have not been successful in getting one in there!~~~John

Tap "Fn+ScrLk" (Scroll Lock) keys, in order to turn on/off the Num Lock.

There has to be a numb lock key..if not start pressinh keys until the Num lock turns on.

If, it a regular Desktop keyboard. Look where the Numbers are on the right and it the top left key above 7.
On my Laptop I using now there no number pad to the right, Whaaaa!!!!! Sniffle! Oh! I Press Shift and NumLk it at the ScrLk above F11. This an IBM, they different from the Fn NumLk way.

it is easy to find. press the "function" key beside the windows key. then press the scroll lock key

You should find it in the upper left hand side of your keypad right above the number 7 and right beside the "/".
