It's easier to brainwash stupid people, rich or poor. Class has very little to do with it. Both get brainwahsed in similar and different ways.

If I had to choose between the two, I would say poor people. They may feel more of a need to find a place in society, and have more to hope for, as they have nothing to lose.

I don't think status has anything to do with it.........I think it has to do with the individual and not how much money they have...my experience is most people with limited means are less likely to believe someone trying to get over....
