When i worked in the downtown area of my town, there were alot of crazy bums that would hang around the parking lot. There is one that has a clown costume and he walks around in it and screams at people.

Yeah. I've had a number of run-ins with them. One day, I was minding my own business when a homeless guy suddenly pointed at me, started screaming that I was Satan, and jumped on me. The guy attacked me for no reason. I got him off of me pretty quickly. But it creeped me out for a long time.

All the time as a police officer. You have to remember that everyone has reasons for what they do, crazy people just have insane reasons, but they are real enough to them.
And be very careful, they can be quite dangerous.
I got bit on the hand by one and the Doctor who gave me a tetanus shot said "I don't know what you guys get paid, but it's not enough!"

I work for a mental health agency, that should tell you enough.
But there is this guy who walks around downtown hitching for a ride all day wearing a Darth Vader helmet. No wonder he never gets a ride.

Yes, once when i was in college, my now husband who at the time was my fiancee, was waiting for me outside one of my classes to pick me up and this woman who was like a drifter used to wander around the college buildings, she approached my husband and kept telling him, "You are my boyfriend, John"!(his name isnt John) and she told him I had been a witch in my past life and that I lived with her neighbor and was a lesbian and that I loved her! Then she did it another time and I knew she was harmless, but I just told her if she didn't leave us alone, I would get the security and she left! I really fely kinda sorry for her!

All the time. They can be pretty cool after you talk to most of them. The ones off their meds are assholes but some are ok off the meds too. Some very cool old dudes down there. Imagine the shitty lives they've had. Most of them have had a rough life.

wow- i'd be afraid of going anywhere near that place. i'm scared of the homeless guys that walk around near our 7/11. lol, but i did grow up with my schizophrenic sister, so "crazy" to me means something a little different.. and she's not that bad. not paranoid or anything and no imaginary people, so it's pretty cool.

I used to work fast food and there was this lady who'd come in and try to shower in the bathroom. She'd cuss anyone out who tried to stop her.

So you never had a run in, then, technically.

Here's hoping you find more compassion in your life, through seeing others in a more positive light.
