When changing one's name (first, middle, and last), legally, can one use the former name AND latter name? For example, if my name was 'John Smith' and I changed it to 'Billy Johnson', is it still legally sound to use 'John Smith' for documents such as bank business, tax information, credit card info, etc.? .. Or will the use of the previous name no longer be valid?
Thanks for your time.

No you cannot have two legal names. When you change your name, you are legally changing your legal name. To be using your former name is commiting fraud.

In the US, you can only have one legal name. But it can be made up of whatever parts you want. Just a first name. Just a first and last. Six middle names. Whatever.
But laws vary by country. Some counties do allow for multiple legal names, or have no concept of 'legal' name at all.

It seems very possible. When terrorism is both legal, illegal, Sanctifird and cursed, why can not having two names be legal? Better to have two names, just in case you lose one f(n)ame you have another to hold on to.

The bottom line is very simple. If the reason you want to have two names is because you think this will be some cute way to cheat, defraud, evade, or otherwise pull a fast one then don't do it.

And till you introduce your self in a distinctive way, each physique will call you "Brooke" besides...! that is different from human beings are actually unable to look after non-Hebrew names. via analogy, Jewish travellers who've the two a Hebrew call (for religious purposes) and a non-Hebrew call (for wide-unfold use) are nevertheless observed as via the human beings around them via their wide-unfold call (even whether that is of Hebrew commencing place, like "Jacob" or "Aaron"), because of the fact that is what they are used to. Brooke is fairly transliterated into Hebrew as ????. For what that is properly worth, i comprehend somebody whose call is that, and he or she translated her Hebrew call as "Bareket" ????, meaning emerald.
