No, a baby MUST have some combination of the parents' blood types.

For example, if the parents are A and B, then the baby might be A, B, or AB.

If both parents are O, then the only possible outcome is for the baby to be O also.

The child doesnt always have the same blood as the mother. My mom is B+ my dad is O+. My sister and I are both O. Only my brother is B. But my baby is O and her daddys A+. If you both have O the baby will have O also.

You can only inherit the blood type allele from your parents.

A parent with a type O allele can ONLY pass on a type O allele. So if both parents have type O then the child MUST be type O.

A parent with type B can pass on a type B allele, or a parent with type AB can pass on either a type A or type B allele - so if a baby has type B blood then at least one of the parents must have had type B or type AB blood.

lol,,, what ever the mother has the baby has--- mothers blood runs through the umbilical cord to the baby,, you cant have 2 different types in the mothers uterus... my mom has O, my dad has B and my twin and I are 0.. I asked my doctor this already... thats why if a baby needs a blood transfusion they look at the mothers type.. hope it helps!!

not if my information of blood types is right. 2 O types might desire to in basic terms be waiting to produce O, as each and each determine can in basic terms bypass on between the alleles that they own, and 2 O types might in basic terms have O alleles to bypass alongside; there is nowhere for the B allele to return from. So, i actually do not think of so.
