I do but my parents think its strange whats so strange about me likeing this?

They might think it's somehow out of character for you to like something like that. I know plenty of people who like it though. Are you a boy, coz they might think it's weird for a boy to like a musical with a romance storyline. Other than that I don't know why they'd think it's weird. I didn't really like the movie coz I thought the acting was bad, but I loved the book. It has a very dark side to it. I haven't seen the stage version but I'd like to at some point. Anyway don't worry what they think it's good to have a varied taste in movies, art etc.

I really don't like it and I know I'll get a thumbs down. It's not very sophisticated, it doesn't even follow the actual story, the writing is very shoddy, it's hard to put the characters together in a cohesive way, he stole music from other composers and he's just not a good composer himself. I know millions feel differently but I avoid having to do his shows like the plague. Sorry, I appreciate the fact that you like him, though. Best to you.

There's nothing wrong with you liking it. The music is wonderful. I do find the story to be pretty strange. Perhaps that's what your parents are reacting to?

I'm not a big fan, personally, but it IS one of the most popular musicals of all time, so your perfectly in the right liking it. You're parents might be the weird ones.

there's nothing strange about liking the phantom...it's one of the best shows i've seen...i see it whenever it's in town
