Yes, you're right, we have the ability to create a variety of endangered species in this way. However, the largest problem facing threatened species is decreasing habitat. Once we have created them, where would we put them?
In the hopes that habitat will be more available in the future than it is now, there are a variety of "zoo banks" that freeze embryos and DNA samples to hedge against extinction. Sadly, there are other problems associated with populations that arise from a small number of individuals, such as genetic bottlenecking and inbreeding, so it's still best to save what we can now to the extent possible.

Truly speaking Yes we can use it.But it is stll underwa. Also some people think that 'creating' new organisms as an unthical behaviour. Also ther a hue and cry that allowing animals to be 'created' using genetics ma lead to doing the same in humans.
The most important cause for some people to hesitate to do this is that they feel attempts to do the same in humans may lead to the production of wrong induviduals like HITLER!!!
Ofcourse we dont want such to hapen do we?

Genetics are already used to save certain endangered species. For example, some endangered birds and mammals have been cloned to provide young offspring for future breeding projects.

excellent question i veryly appreciate ur concern towards endangered sps ok to the point
1 genetically modified sps are those whose desired genes are taken .so this cannot be possible cos alllll genes cannot be taken from host sps cannot be incorparated .
2 one way is there CLONE but the problem here is clones are more vulnarable .[like the dolly which is more susuptable]
3 the only way out is SAVE THE NATURAL HABITATA AND ECOSYSTEM in which they are living

Well it is possible to save endangered creatures. But it requires a great amount of financial input as well as experience.
