Zyban is typically the medication given to help people cope with the cravings of nicotine withdrawal, but it has to be prescribed. Nicotine patches or gum works for some people. Many people have many systems of giving up smoking, and some work for some people but not for others. There are so many systems out there that you should do your own research and try the ones that sound like they would work for you.

The body will adjust in about 3 - 4 days to the nic.fix.

And that requires good old fashion determination to see it through.

It's your body, your health. It's also the health of others around you and ultimately the health of the universe.

Like being overly emotional is a drug, (the most powerful one there ever was and is) it takes work to change the habit patterns of the mind. The cig is just the crutch to a bigger issue at the root.

But give your lungs a chance to breath, no pun intended.

I smoked a pack a day, unfiltered. I just simply stopped one day. It truly is in the mind. The mind is not as physical as it may appear. You can do this. You already know you can. Follow through.

Going by the statistics using any transdermal patch or gum is just as effective, or ineffective as quitting cold turkey, all methods generally have a relapse of 90% within one year. It all comes down to how badly you want to be done with cigarettes.
