I do! The Resident Evil games are my favorite games and when I learned they were making the first Resident Evil movie I was stoked. Then I saw the movies and I was like what the freak, thats not like the game they didn't follow the story line. I mean the games have the best storylines and monsters, and the director decides to make it their own. I still kinda liked them, but was very dissapointed. To make the movies they could have added to the storyline, given the characters more depth, and definetly add the monsters. I will see the new one, but I was so hoping they would make Resident Evil Code Veronica or 4 cause those two are the most awesome, but no. Luckily my passion is movies and I am going to college next year to become a director. Maybe I can make the movies the way they should have been made. The one thing movies seem to lack these days are good storylines and I intend to bring them back.

Speaking from a non-video game player perspective:
I really liked the second Resident Evil, am really looking forward to the third (from the trailers it looks like Olivera and Alice actually get together in that one!), and from what I hear, the movies aren't even like the games except maybe the names of some of the characters. And is Alice even in the games? I'd miss her if she wasn't there.
So I vote no.

Not all people are playing resident evil or ever heard of it , so the story and action line of the movie is made so more people can relate to it and enjoy watching it

To answer you in the productor's view:
Who care? as long as everyone loves the movie and the company is making money... they can can care less about the story line...

make the cast solve puzzles?
last time i saw one they took on zombies, commanders, and more in the movies.
