It has to do with running peoples dogs starting with the area I live. I don't want to get sued should something go wrong. I want my idea and name to be completely protected and legit.

I used to work for a business incubator in my town, they are sponsored by the government. But are all over the united states. Very helpful, will help you write a business plan, and yes you will need one. they can offer help with everything even legal. i would search for a local SBA or business incubator.
Here is the national business incubator association website

Go downtown and get a fictitious business license and name your business first. They go to either Bank of America or WAMU and open a free business checking. Make some flyer's and business cards and pass them and post them everywhere in your area. Look into some insurance as far as protecting you or someone else in case any dog where to bit you or a stranger while walking them. Last but not least, write up a contract to have every dog owner sign before walking there dog. Include every detail on what services you do, and don't offer. And how you wont be liable for any cases of the dog biting someone or destroying property....lots of things when starting a business....good idea though!

Start advertising in your neighborhood. When you get a client make them sign a contract which lists that you are not held liable unless you maliciously hurt the dog.
