Actually it is probably a two-man job. Get your friend, offer him a six-pack and grab your wrenches and have at it. It's probably going to take you at least six or eight hours, but if there's no frame damage, and you like the car, why not?

Grab a Chilton's Body Manual or the Oldsmobile Repair Book at the library, read a few pages and go for it. My best friend and I did his old Ford in seven hours and neither of us had a clue as to how to begin. The job worked great, even though his front fenders and hood were black and the rest of the car was green!

It's not all that hard, actually, just keep unbolting things until all of the old panels are off, (make sure you save the bolts and mark them so you'll know where they all go), then reverse the process after muscling the new body panels into position. Remember to disconnect any wires, hoses, and other assorted stuff and don't forget to replace your front license plate (been there, done that - it cost my pal nearly $ 75 for having no front plate!).
