Me && my friend are planning to start a band here in a couple months after we get the roots started out. Which involes a name, which we can't come up with.
We're two 14 year old girls, who will be 15 after those couple months pass.
It's going to be a punk rockish kind of a band, && she wants it to be like The Veronicas kinda. I mean they sound okay, but their name is good.
Some other bands we thought the name was original were:

Band names shouldn't be forced upon the band. My chemical romance named their band when Mikey was at work and saw "three tales of chemical romance" or something like that. I don't really know about the other bands, but I think you should focus on the music first and then determine an awesome name for the band.

Your band name is going to be your identity so it has to be uniquely you. You can start with writing down single words on a piece of paper that you think are symbolic or descriptive of the people in your band and/or your music. Then brainstorm among yourselves and see if you can pick one or combine more than one. If a word seems right but not really hip, maybe you can think of a word that means the same thing but is more "now". Good luck!

Okay, so this may sound like a rude, sexist question, but... can anyone name any current or recent 'girl bands' that are actually good? But anyway I think this is a good band name "Six Steps from Freedom" or "Dodging Destiny" Does anyone else see the irony of having someone else come up with an original band name for you?

My bands name is 'Rockies Sloane', i got the name from typing the lead singers name into anagramsite.com.Try it for inspiration you never know what you will come up with when you try mixtures of different words!
