1991's Beauty and the Beast remains the only animated film ever to be nominated for Best Picture.

It was definitely Beauty and the Beast. This is the reason the Academy came up with the Best Animated Feature Category. They didn't want live-action movies competing against Animated movies for Best Picture.

beauty and the beast, it's a magical enchanting film. it's a real tragedy that disney shut down it's animation department in favor of cg movies (which suck)
