I have "Hillshire Farm Litl' Smokies" smoked sausages in my fridge. They've never been open.

The use-or-freeze-by date is February 21, 2007.

It's been a month basically.

Isn't it still good to eat? I forgot about them and I am eager to eat them tomorrow morning.

I mean, it hasn't even been open. Is that a good enough reason to still be able to eat it?

I would say no. Do not eat them. I know the date is just a guide line but a month is too long past. Hate for you to ruin weekend by being sick.

Yes they will be fine. I do it all the time. But check them first. If they feel real slimy I'd think twice. But they do have lots of preservatives They should be good...

I wouldn't. If you are really eager, go out early tomorrow and buy another package.

Tough call, I'd say don't eat them, a month is too long, they are not fresh. I wouldn't do it.

why not they're still in the vacuum packaging and been refrigerated all the time...don't eat them if they're discolored, swollen or smell badly...otherwise I say chow down...

I would toss them but if you're daring then eat them and see what happens... smell them first.
