can the vga camera in phone be chenged to a megapixel one with lil engineering knowledge?

i bought a camera phone with a vga camera...........can i change it to a megapixel one if i get the parts required???

Changing the camera is the easy part. The phone processor itself will also need to know what to do with the extra pixels and probably has not enough memory to deal with more data.

So you need new CCD, more memory, new firmware = new phone. Just buy a real digital camera.

I do not think so. VGA electronic part is bigger in size than megapixel one.
