make sure to lurk in the forum. theres alot of great information there. also theres a link for tele-commuting jobs. on the home page.
just remember never sign up on a site that requests you to pay for information up front. set up a free email account on yahoo or hotmail too. alot of sites are just phishing so they can spam you. the first answerer is right in thinking there's alot of scams out there. hers some legit sites to look into.

really with most scams out now, I would say may be Avon or Mary Kay...I would avoid anything with up front cost unless a lot of company research and real references are located
