My gf asked me this- Why is it ok when guys sleep around but when girls do it they are called sluts? IsIm glad she didnt really expect an answer. Is there an answer?

If your girlfriend asks you a hypothetical question and you do not answer correctly you will be in real trouble.
The correct answer here is that "the social norms and expectations of today expect a certain standard of behaviour from women as opposed to men, which is unfair and close-minded."

Its really just a matter of how our society works! A man usually takes pride in his son " getting some", but his daughter doing the samething is typically looked down upon...but if you think about it he's patting his son on the back for "getting some" from another mans daughter, its a never ending cycle....seems *** backwards doesnt it?

bacause guys think its cool to sleep around, there is some sort of bravado or a feeling of being higher in the "pecking" order, if a girl sleeps around she is frowned upon and called allsorts! just the way it is all over the world!

It is just a double standard in our society. Men are expected to be highly sexual being and sleep with as many women as they want in any given time. But women are expected to be pure and virginal until they are married and not be highly sexual but only with their husbands.

its not ok when anyone sleeps around if their in a relationship, but if not then guys have needs and girls are respected for their morality

Of-course its OK for men to sleep anywhere it's because men can protect themselves unlike women that can be rape, nevertheless they are on another man's arms.
