Who knows. But I do think we need exams to get licenses to have children. Have you seen the idiots allowed to roam freely about these days?

In my opinion, some evaluation is needed against pre-established bench marks for 'educated' people to take responsible positions in society.

However, not doing well in exam has no negative bearing on an individuals ability in my opinion. The person may have competency and intelligence in areas not designed to be judged by the exam.

In my opinion, not exactly. To an extent, tests and exams do give a measure of intelligence but it is not the overall final judgement of a person's capacity
To exist in this world, all you really need is to be street smart. I have seen several people who haven't even had a formal education yet they turned out to be successful businessmen and even some of the richest people in the neighbourhood. Still, you cannot fully ignore education and the tests they give out because it somehow forces you to at least learn the basics, which are those that would really help us.

i think no... cause its not only in exams that we have to test our capability or intelligence... there's still other ways on checking our intelligence like deciding on difficult situations...

no, tests just prove if we memorize the material, if you fail doesn't mean you don't get it
