It tightens the muscles in your vagina, thus making intercourse more pleasurable for both you and your partner. You can actually do the exercise while having sex, flexing and unflexing your muscles.

Another way is to start peeing, stop mid-flow, hold your pee for 8 seconds, let it go again, stop, repeat.

It helps prevent incontinence, which can be a problem after childbirth.

They tone the muscles in the pelvic region. It can help add to sexual pleasure and keep your organs in better shape as well. It's also a help for incontinence and can help prevent these type of problems. You can do them anywhere anytime. If you're in a class or at work you just tighten all the muscles by squeezing then releasing. They're easy to do!
