Global Warming has very much become solely a political discussion. Republicans tend to deny it, and Democrats tend to believe its happening. The science of Global Warming can be discussed in Politics, but the issue itself is now a political platform.

The Bush administration refused to recognize the Kyoto Treaty regarding global warming issues. What do you expect from men like Bush and Cheney who have made their living from the oil industry? Congress should adopt measures NOW, first, to re-channel our economy and infrastructure to a more environmentally-friendly manner--not only because of global warming issues, but because our dependence on oil is an addiction (as Bush even now says). The world's oil supply is not unlimited. It also leads to our reliance on Middle Eastern stability and politics, that we should move away from in the long run. Political action related to global warming needs to be more constructive and pro-active, not only for the sake of the environment, but for Middle East regional politics. It's all related.

Global warming still requires analysis and research, two things that are not for anyone else but scientists to measure. making it political means making it complicated.

Global warming was incidentally waged by Al Gore and it is the reason that it involved Politics causing ciriticisms from the other party.
